Former Toronto Argonauts cornerback Byron Parker has been cut by the Philadelphia Eagles and is expected to report for Toronto’s practice when the team returns from the break. There next game is August 28 against the Calgary Stampeders.

Lots of minor signings in the CFL this past week. The B.C. Lions signed linebacker JoJuan Armour, running back A.J. Harris and defensive lineman James Edwards. The Saskatchewan Roughrider signed defensive back Ladarius Key and defensive lineman Josh Miller. Saskatchewan’s signing was a result of veteran defensive lineman Scott Schultz announcing his retirement.

Toronto Argonauts traded disgruntled receiver Arland Bruce to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In return Toronto received a third-round pick in the 2010 draft as well as a conditional pick in the 2011 draft and the rights to defensive end Corey Mace. Arland Bruce made his Tiger-Cats debut helping beat the B.C. Lions.
